Privacy policy

The short version

This website does not run advertising or social media tracking pixels. It does not collect health information. The only information it collects is what you type into the appointment request form, and that is emailed to our scheduling team so they can call you back.

What we do not use

There is no Meta (Facebook) Pixel, no Google Analytics or GA4, no Google Ads conversion tag, no TikTok pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, and no session replay or heatmap tool on this site. We do not sell or share browsing data with advertising networks.

This is deliberate. Browsing pages about menopause, hormone therapy, or urinary symptoms reveals health-related interest, and that information should not be handed to advertising platforms. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has issued guidance on tracking technologies on health-related websites, and state wiretapping and privacy laws have been applied to pixel use on healthcare sites. We avoid the problem by not using them.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint visitors, does not build a profile across sites, and does not collect personal or health information. It reports aggregate page views and performance. If you have disabled JavaScript, it does not run at all.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a security cookie to protect the site and the appointment form from abuse. Because we do not use tracking cookies, there is no consent banner to click through.

The appointment request form

What the form collects: your first and last name, phone number, email address, preferred location, preferred contact method, best time to reach you, the general reason for your visit, and an optional short message.

The form explicitly asks you not to include detailed medical information. It is a scheduling tool, not your medical record. Please do not send test results, diagnoses, account numbers, or your Social Security number through it.

What happens to it: the submission is transmitted over an encrypted connection to a Cloudflare Pages Function, which forwards it by email to our scheduling team and, where configured, to an internal intake endpoint operated by Advanced Urology. The function does not write request bodies to logs. Once our team acts on it, scheduling information is recorded in Advanced Urology's systems under its own privacy practices.

Spam protection: the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving alternative to reCAPTCHA that does not track you across sites.

The symptom checker

The symptom checker runs entirely in your browser. It makes no network requests when you answer questions, writes nothing to your browser's storage, and sends nothing to us. If you press "Copy my summary," the text goes to your clipboard and nowhere else.

How this relates to HIPAA

Information you send through this website's form is not, by itself, a medical record. Once you become or are identified as a patient, your protected health information is handled by Advanced Urology under HIPAA and under its Notice of Privacy Practices. This website policy covers the website; the Notice covers your care.

Third parties

The services this site depends on:

• Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, security, cookieless analytics, and Turnstile.
• Resend — delivers the appointment request email to our scheduling team.
• Google Maps — only if you click a "Get directions" link, which opens in a new tab and is then governed by Google's own policies.

Fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page on this site does not send a request to any font CDN.

Your choices

You can browse this site without submitting anything. If you have submitted the form and want your request deleted before you become a patient, call us on (770) 800-0000 and ask. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information — contact us and we will tell you how that is handled.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If we ever added a tracking technology — which we do not plan to — we would say so here plainly rather than burying it.
